Independent organization co-founded by Pablo Contreras and Harold Krenkel. The co-founders have significant experience and are able to draw on a group of technical experts in specific areas to provide technical support as required.
Pablo Contreras
Pablo Contreras is a Chemical engineer, with a diploma in petroleum production and PhD in Colloidal Chemistry, with more than thirty years of industrial, applied research and academic experience in the energy sector.
He has defined and managed numerous projects for the operations optimization bringing or developing novel technologies. He has expertise in fluids and emulsions characterization and treatment and fluids processing. Author of patents, technical reports and scientific publications. He enjoyed his off time in activities like riding road and mountain bicycles, hiking and snowboarding.

Harold Krenkel
Harold is a Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering and has over thirty years of experience in developing innovative, practical solutions across a number of sectors through the application of technical expertise. He has held numerous leadership positions both domestically and internationally including commercial scale processing plant start-ups, operations, and facility development. Leadership roles have included responsibility for strategic planning, financial management and reporting, client and partner relations, facility and asset management, health and safety, communications, human resources, and performance management. His experience includes connecting industry, academia, and government in the execution of applied research projects and ultimate commercial deployment. In his free time, Harold enjoys spending time with his family doing outdoor activities including camping
and hiking.

Technical support to plant/field operations, engineering, maintenance, and inspection. Wide experience in Project Management Life Cycle. Managed Factory Acceptance Test, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Plans ensuring effective transition from project design to construction, and
to a safe and reliable plant operation.
Ross Chow
Ross Chow is a leader with over 30 years of experience in applied research across numerous sectors including energy, forestry, agriculture, and environmental management. He obtained a MSc in 1987 from University of Alberta. His passion is providing technology-based solutions for industrial issues through the transfer of proven technologies from one sector to another as well as the development and adoption of new technologies. Through his extensive experience, Ross developed an in-depth understanding of each stage of technology development. This allows him to provide the guidance and direction that gives technologies the highest chance for successful deployment. His expertise also includes strategic planning, financial management, client relations, and partnership development.
Behzad Ahvazi
Behzad Ahvazi is a chemist with over 25 years of experience with expertise in added value processing in engineering, formulation, and preparation of novel biomaterials at laboratory, pilot, and industrial scales. He completed his Bachelor in Chemistry and Biochemistry and from Concordia University in Montréal, Québec. His Ph.D. program was completed in 1998 at McGill Pulp and Paper Research Centre in macromolecules with solid background in lignocellulosic materials. His expertise includes chemical pulping, bleaching, papermaking as well as biomass extraction, conversion, and technologies for valorization of lignocellulosic materials and their waste by-products to biochemicals, biofuels, bio-composites and bioproducts. He also has experience developing novel applications from renewable and sustainable bioresources such as fiber, pulp, cellulose nanocrystals (CNC), cellulose nanofibrils (CNF) and lignin.
